The difference between CT4 and BT4 motors

Both CT4 and BT4 motors are explosion-proof motors. CT4 and BT4 are explosion-proof markings. The differences between CT4 and BT4 motors are as follows:
1. Different levels
The explosion-proof level of the CT4 motor is ExdIICT4, and the explosion-proof level of the BT4 motor is ExdIIBT4, with a lower protection level than the CT4 motor.

CT has a wider range of applications.
3. Different applicable gas environments
CT is an explosion-proof level for acetylene and hydrogen. If there are acetylene and hydrogen gases in the environment, an explosion-proof motor of CT level should be used. BT cannot be used in places where acetylene gas is operated and is only a medium-level explosion-proof definition.
Explosion-proof motors can be divided into Class I and Class II. Class I is suitable for motor equipment operating underground in coal mines, and Class I electrical equipment is no longer classified. Class II is used for explosion-proof motor equipment in factories, and is divided into three levels (IIA, IIB, IIC) according to its maximum safe gap or minimum ignition current ratio for gas mixtures.
The C in CT4 motor means factory use, and T4 is the temperature group that the explosion-proof motor can withstand high temperatures.
The surface temperature levels of CT4 and BT4 motors in ascending order are: T1 (450℃), T2 (300℃), T3 (200℃), T4 (135℃), T5 (100℃), T6 (85℃).
