How is the CT4 motor used?

Compared to ordinary motors, CT4 motor The structural feature is that all contact surfaces of connecting parts such as the bracket and end cover, junction box, junction box bottom plate, and cover plate are set as explosion-proof surfaces. The mating surface of the CT4 motor and the ordinary motor has no substantial difference, but in order to meet the higher sealing requirements, the matching area (such as longer cracks) is increased, and the matching accuracy is improved. This part uses sealing glue, rubber gaskets, etc. In addition, the junction box should be tightly isolated from the inside of the housing. In order to prevent the "explosion" pressure inside the motor from detonating the housing, the strength and thickness of the materials used for the bracket, end cover, and junction box should be very high. In addition, these components must pass a pressure resistance test (generally an internal resistance test) before assembly.

What issues should be noted in the use and maintenance of the CT4 motor?

  (1) The type of CT4 motor should be selected according to the usage environment.

  (2) Short circuit, overload, overheating, and insufficient protection should be strictly set as required, and the effectiveness of these protective devices should be checked regularly.

  (3) Non-professionals are prohibited from disassembling any parts of the motor.

  (4) Connect the power cord according to the following steps: After removing the junction box cover, loosen the junction box cover, remove the rubber pad at the junction box entrance, and clamp the two parts on the cable.

The inner hole of the CT4 motor rubber pad should be the same as the outer diameter of the cable, and there should be no large gap. Otherwise, when the wire tube is pressed down, the rubber pad and the cable will not be sealed, so when the junction box explodes, the motor will explode externally, thus losing the explosion-proof function. Introduce the cable at the entrance of the junction box into the junction box, and wrap the corresponding terminals with three cores respectively (the grounding core should be wrapped on the grounding screw of the mining motor). Each iron core should be rounded in two arc-shaped washers, and the terminal nut should be tightened. After connecting the cable, install the rubber washer. Install the junction box, tighten the screws, so that the end face of the connecting end presses the rubber ring, so that the cable is completely engaged.

If the CT4 motor needs to be disassembled, special attention should be paid to protecting the explosion-proof surface and the winding from impact. If multiple units are disassembled at the same time, the disassembled parts should be stored separately and should not be confused. If the disassembled parts are stored for a period of time, the explosion-proof surface should be given necessary rust prevention treatment.

How to extend the life of the CT4 motor?

  1. The working environment should always be kept dry, and the surface of the CT4 motor should be kept clean, and the air intake should not be blocked by dust, fibers, etc.

  2. When the thermal protection of the CT4 motor is continuously working, the fault should be determined whether it is caused by the motor or overload, or whether the setting value of the protection device is too low. After troubleshooting, it can be put into operation.

  3. The CT4 motor must be well lubricated during operation. Generally, the lubricating grease should be supplemented or replaced after the motor has run for about 5000 hours. If the bearing overheats or the lubrication deteriorates during operation, the lubricating grease should be replaced in time. When replacing the lubricating grease, clean the old lubricating oil, clean the bearing oil groove and bearing cover with gasoline, and then fill the cavity between the bearing chambers with ZL-3 lithium-based lubricating grease. As well as the outer ring (2 pairs) and 2/3 (4, 6, 8 pairs).

  4. When the bearing reaches the end of its service life, the vibration and noise of the CT4 motor will increase significantly. When the radial clearance of the bearing reaches the following value, the bearing must be replaced.

  5. When disassembling the CT4 motor, the rotor can be removed from the extended end or the non-extended end of the shaft. If the fan does not need to be removed, it is more convenient to remove the rotor from the other end of the shaft. When removing the rotor from the stator, care must be taken to avoid damaging the winding or stator insulation.

  6. When replacing the winding, record the shape, size, number of turns, wire gauge, etc. of the original winding. When you lose this data, you should ask the manufacturer to arbitrarily change the original design winding, or even not use it.
