Mining Motor A vehicle generally refers to the traction equipment of rail transit. As the name suggests, its function is the power source for various rail vehicles. Rail locomotives powered by mining electric locomotives are the main mode of transportation in Chinese mines. The entire transportation system consists of tracks, mine cars, mining locomotives, and other auxiliary equipment, such as mining equipment, loading equipment, conveyor belts, and related safety equipment.
The locomotive transportation system is one of the important factors determining the production capacity of mines. Its main function is to transport materials in mines, such as ore, waste rock, materials, equipment, and even personnel. In the early 1950s, China began producing small 380V explosion-proof motors for mines. In the 1960s and 1970s, the voltage increased to 660V and 1140V. In the 1980s, the varieties of electric motors for mining face machinery developed rapidly, with winding insulation expanding from Class B to Class F and H, and single power reaching 400kW. In the 1980s, 10kV high-voltage motors began to be used underground, and high-voltage enhanced safety motors were developed. AC and DC explosion-proof coal mining machine traction motors and 3.3kV high-voltage explosion-proof coal mining machine traction motors have begun to be developed.
Specific transportation tasks vary depending on the transportation objectives and working environment.
Underground mining electric locomotives transport ore (waste rock) from the mining face hopper, mining face shaft, or chute to the underground storage bin, bottom (or middle) material yard, or directly through the mine shaft to the ore, bottom (or middle) material yard, materials, and equipment to the workplace.
The mine environment is humid, with a relative humidity of up to 98%, and water is present. Lubricating and cooling grease may enter the motor, causing the windings to become encrusted and damp. Therefore, the motor requires good sealing. Lower protection level requirements: the connector cavity is IP54, and the motor body is IP44. Higher requirements are IP55. Open-air Mining Motor The main task of vehicle transportation is to transport ore from the mining face to the beneficiation plant and waste rock to the tailings pond.
There are special vehicles for transporting personnel. They are also used as sightseeing buses in amusement parks and other places. The motor should move with the mining equipment and withstand vibrations during operation due to the vibration of mining machinery. Under the action of top pressure, the motor may be exposed to the danger of coal and rock falling, impact, and contact. Therefore, the motor casing and exposed parts should be able to withstand the specified impact. Most mines have the danger of gas and coal dust explosions, and mining machinery motors should adopt a mine explosion-proof type. Most mining machinery has unlimited loads, large and unstable resistance torque, and complex working conditions, frequent starting, inching, blocking, and overloading. The motor generally starts at full voltage, and its main characteristic parameters are shown in the upper right table. Mining Motor The operating system is usually specified as S1 (continuous operating system), but it often needs to adapt to requirements such as frequent starting, overloading, no-load, hourly starting times, and continuous point operation times. The operating system can also be set to S1 or S4 (including intermittent cyclic operating system) S1 or S6 (continuous cyclic operating system). Mechanical motors for loading short-time S2 systems. In order for the motor to have a large overload capacity, the generally designed motor has a large temperature rise margin, the insulation level is reduced, and the reliability of the motor is improved. To solve the heat dissipation problem, mining machinery motors mostly use shell water cooling. In order to effectively protect the windings from overheating, a thermal protection element is embedded at the end of the windings of the mining motor, and protection devices such as a water pressure relay and bearing overheating are provided.
